"Weather you look further or closer at it. The colors of this piece display Menelik's Roots. With the colors Red, Black, Green, Yellow, & Blue. These represent the South African Flag. Soweto is one of many of Menelik's homes in South Africa. My Nkonos(Grandmothers) homes, Chappies, the souls roaming the streets, Plants growing around, Fish & Chips, Neighaborhood Animals, Abstract Infastructures and Roads, Taxis that look as if they're Vans, Humiditidy, Magwena, Mixed Fashion, Neighaborhood Kids playing scoccer barefoot, and the creativity from the people all around. These are vivid memories of Soweto.
